FITSCO Assists Train Autonomous Control System, Turning the New Page of Intell…

On Sep. 17th, the general solution of train autonomous control system which developed by FITSCO has successfully passed the expert review. The review group is formed by fifteen senior specialists of metro industry from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Wuhan.


In the end of 2015, FITSCO started to research and carry on the rail transit technological innovation project of train autonomous operation, together with Qiangdao Metro Corporation, Qingdao Sifang Rolling Stock Research Institute, CSR Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd., ZTE Trunking Technology Corporation. On Nov.9, this project was named for Train Autonomous Control System (TACS) which is actively made for state demonstration project.


This project relies on Qingdao Line 6 first phase which uses next generation train control system that is taking trains as the core, vehicle and signaling are deeply integrated. At the same time, the system takes ATO
having train initiative route, train autonomously protection technological features, changing from train centralized control to train distributed control, from train automatic operation to train autonomous operation. The brand new system will remarkably improve in safety, intelligence and efficient operation, laying the foundation for interconnection among lines. The train communication adopts train- train framework which makes departure interval obviously shorter than CBTC, reduces wayside equipment, every system is highly integrated and all these changes greatly improve efficiency of operation, save construction and operation cost.

As the core technology provider of signaling system, FITSCO will take part in overall architecture design and system development of TACS, developing system and key sub-system solution based on TACS general requirement and making project implementation solution according to typical scene and safety performance analysis, which finally achieves deeply integration between signaling and vehicle, train intelligence promotion and operation organization flexibility.


The research and implement of train autonomous control system will change rail transit train control from signaling control to autonomous control and improve the automation, intelligence and network level, drive and lead the technology development of global rail transit and fill the domestic technology blank.
