26^th, Oct.2014 was the first operation day of Suzhou modern tram line No.1 whose PAIS, broadcasting system, signal and communication system were taken in charge by FITSCO. In the weekend, more than 12,500 passengers per time had a try to take the nearly full classes of trams. The following day of 27^th, Oct. was the first operation weekday and this line stood the test of providing transportation service for office workers who will be the main passenger flow.

Suzhou modern tram line No.1 is designed 10 stations and total length is 18.19 kilometers. At the initial of trial operation, the departure interval is 15 minutes and one-way time is 42 minutes. After opening officially, the departure time of the first and last tram is 6:30 and 21:00. Tram line No.1 adopts fixed-point flop ticket system and full fare is RMB 3.00. The fare of the first and last stop is RMB 3.00, once the distance is more than 10 kilometers, the fare will be RMB 2.00. Similar to using old-age card to take the rail traffic, the above 70 years old card can be free to take the tram and the above 60 years old card can be used to take the tram at half price.

It is reported that at present the area under construction and planned construction of Suzhou is not only high-tech area. After approval of transportation department of Suzhou and Jiangsu province, the later trams will be named as “Suzhou Tram Line No. X” uniformly for easy management.

From 12th, Oct. to 21st, Oct., Suzhou tram line No.1 carried out a test activity to thousands for ten days. The members of Suzhou project team guaranteed time point of project for working overtime and provided the whole-way protection to ensure the safe operation of tram during the trial operation and official operation period. The operation of PAIS, broadcasting system, signal and communication system taken in charge by FITSCO is stable, getting the confirmation from the customer. Meanwhile, the professional technology and working attitude of team members also received the strong compliments from the customer.
