Soochow FITSCO Became the Standing Member of “Soochow Tech City Tramcar Indus…
On 27 March,2014, the first national
association of tramcar industry——Soochow Tech City Tramcar Industry Association, was
established. Twenty-three enterprises throughout city brought together,
discussing the development of Soochow tramcar industry chain and the
construction of hundreds of billions-level industry chain. Pu Ronggao, the secretary
of Party Committee of Soochow Tech City and Soochow Municipal Standing
Committee, Xu Bingxing and Xue Weiliang, the leaders of Soochow Tech City,
attended the meeting. Soochow FITSCO was regarded as the standing member, and
Wu Hao, the general manager of FISCO, was elected the standing director. In the
tramcar industry forum, Zhang Jianfeng, the executive vice general
manager of Soochow, FITSCO gave a lecture.
Soochow Tech City Tramcar
Project, approved by NDRC, is the first tramcar project in China as well as in
Jiangsu Province. This project is planning to construct 6 lines extending 80km.
At present, the construction and operation preparation are running smoothly and
orderly. “Tramcar Line 1 will be in revenue operation in about October.” the responsible
person said, “ Tramcar Line 2, extending 18km from Xu Shuguan intercity railway
station to Long An Road station in Soochow S&T city, will be constructed at
the second half of this year.” Tramcar Line 1 and Line 2 will interchange at Long
An Road station and link up Xu Shuguan with Soochow S&T city.
In recent years, with the
influence of Tramcar Line 1, many key enterprises are being located in Soochow
Tech City where the development of tramcar industry will be speed up, hundreds
of billions-level rail transit industry chain will be build, and the modern
tramcar network will be constructed. Reportedly, the Tramcar Industry
Association was organized by SND Tram with 32 members including key enterprises
in Soochow Tech City, design and construction enterprises of tramcar industry,
universities and scientific research institutions.
